My guess is this is an art project related to the way companies collect and sell personal information and intentionally make the terms of service so long and convoluted that no one reads them. The last sentence basically says the third parties can use the Personal Information however they want but in a vague and hard to follow way. Also, the privacy policy is very clear up until the end. I don’t know anything about text to speech algorithms, but I can’t really see why third party companies would be needed. However, they are not obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. We want to inform our Service users that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. Did anyone see the privacy policy at the bottom? It talks about information collected by the site and the third party companies that info is sent to. I don’t see how this can be an ARG cause there’s no story. I’ve noticed that with many of these kinds of mysteries it’s either ARG or art. Maybe someone with some more guts than my self can dig further and see what the website offers. It could also be a markov chain based on previous entry’s or like I had said, even a really basic AI? ![]() If I had to guess, the website is rolling a probability chance that it will say what you want it to and if not, randomly says something that another user has previously typed in. In the comments, A few users had said that the generator told them to kill themselves or that they were watching them.Īll of this screams of it being a joke website meant to scare one or maybe the remnants of a dead ARG? I couldn’t find anything in this subreddit or a few similar ones, but if this has already been looked into, please let me know. I found a few videos from a few years back of people fooling around on the website and having similar results. That was about the point I closed the window. I then typed, “Hello, what is your name?” To which it started playing a 20-second loop saying “life is pain” over and over again. It started talking about rappers and why I should subscribe to them. “Your website is bizarre and seems pretty sketchy. I even tried directly questioning the website, thinking it was a low-level AI program running in the background. More often than not, the generator won’t always say what you typed in but instead seemingly something at random. For starter, it already has “soi soi soi” filled in the box, which sounds like it’s a straight-up demon. I tried looking for a text-to-speech editor that would recreate the old Bonzi Buddy speech for some nostalgia, and it was the first one at the top of the list.
